Also, switching to elemental weapons won't necessarily increase your damage against warriors. I might be hugely mistaken, but wouldn't ward against elements + ward against melee seroiusly hamper your damage then?

I just have to say when i first started playing this game... the flow of combat never ever seemed right to me...
wars 1vs1 on eles monks and vice versa...
hystorically and phantasy have always been
war vs war
ele vs ele
etc
etc
it makes sence that the warriors should be clanking swords and shields and the eles are battling out there inteligence...
logically this is why warriors armor is HEAVY against melee dmg because they are melee fighters surely armor isn't designed to be the oposite... this is why casters have light armor and long range spells meant to at a distance battle with foes aka other casters...
i have a war and to be quite frank i believe the dmg reduction change is comlpetely justified...
wars should NOT have the best armor against EVERYTHING... when it comes right down to it... the warrios armor has been replacing skills.. no other class had this ability all other armors were more balanced and required skills and tactics to fill in the gaps...
you can agree or not but the whining has gotten rediculous...
logically how is armor plate absorbing elctrical dmg how is hardened leather absorbing fire
skills should be allowing that not armor... skills that allow you to block or evade attacks thats what they are there for..
on a side note my war is wearing plate which is 90 AL +10 vs physical... that overall is my armor choice for a pure warrior... and i fully intend on using elemental dmg weapon on other warriors abd using physical dmg on casters and such... ive always went for the other wars in the arenas they typically are never ready for another war to be on them they expect me to be running for the casters... whilst it more effective fro rangers to be taking out casters eles taking out monks and the warriors clashing shields in the middle of the battlefield....

The only shitty thing now, Is I just wasted 5 warriors on me at one time in AB playing my ele, And it took less than 20 seconds.
They made it so it's not a challenge killing warriors anymore.

A reminder to anyone who is sane to keep away from this thread. This silly idea of an exploit towards of a mediocre -2...-5 damage will die out soon enough.
"OMG, I got hit for 105 damage... EXPLOIT!!!"

I think what the OP means (or rather what he should mean) is exploit as in exploiting a weakness. Not exploiting a bug.
Exploit: To employ to the greatest possible advantage.
So yes, strategically, people should 'exploit' warriors' less heartiness toward elemental damage by using it against them.
Of course, this always has been true, just simply moreso now. GG.

ummm this is really old news.......
who hasnt used an ebon/element weapon vs a war?
the idea has always been
hitting 80al is better then hitting 100al
you havent found anything new.
use ebon because its "suppose" to be better for dmg for some reason the wars armor doesnt reduce earth dmg as well. you can increase your dmg output using ebon/vamp over sundering.
Reply to Tealjacket - If anyone would even think of bringing ward against elements into a gvg or HA game because hes worried about taking dmg from someone weaponing swaping to elemental dmg weapons thats just kinda crazy, you can just switch back lol. The idea wouldnt be to stand inside a ward, when you are a warrior you tend to be switching targets a lot to build up adrenline.

Guess this is just a reply to the OP, since I didn't bother reading the other posts.
Good idea buddy. Take that ele mod on your weapon to stop the Warriors. Forget about all the other professions. Your sundering mods never worked on them anyways.
Why are warriors worried about fighting other warriors anyways? Bitch about the more dmg you take. Complain that you die faster. Don't complain that you do less damage against other tanks. You shouldn't be fighting them anyways.

So you would prefer if the warriors just ran past the enemy ones and let them run straight for your monks? Sounds good to me, maybe I could join you for a FoW run on my warrior sometime...
Anyhow, this, is pointless. OMG 3 MORE DAMAGE, H4XX0rZ! Really, are you that concerned about 3 damage? If so, change to a hammer and look at the fun tripple digits.

Too many Winger/Monks as it is... why don't you all just go on strike *evil grin*... there's still many other intelligent people who play the Warrior class who won't quit over this, and many many more who don't even notice the change.
You whiners all sound like your mum banned you from sugar for the week or something.

zomg lets exploit vamp weapons..I mean totally neglect armor and steal 3 or 5 hp always!!! Regardless of armor!
Give it up the changes to warrior armor is here to stay. And using ele modded weapons is not an exploit (or vamp )

NICE POST, we all should now by now many warriors are full of complaints.
it does not matter if it makes sense or such.
All that matters in a warriors minds is their class is weaker now.

I figured this would be the case, as the IDS farming run has returned to "very difficult", even for the standard W/Me build.
I have seen the asking price for IDS's creep up to 25K now, and I can see them climbing higher as the constant supply starts to dwindle.
